How to Get a Library Card
- All residents and property owners of Milford, ages 5 and up, may get a library card free of charge. Children under the age of 12 must have a parent or guardian present when applying for a library card. Please bring in proof of address.
- Those who work in Milford may have a card at no charge. Please bring in proof of employment.
- Non-residents who would like to join the library may buy a non-resident card for $50.00 per year.
- Students of Milford schools (who are not residents of Milford) may get a card at no charge for the school year (Sept. 1 - June 30). Please bring in your current student ID or proof of enrollment.
Please bring proof of residency or employment when you come to get your library card. Acceptable identification includes a driver's license with current Milford address, your current lease, a utility bill with your Milford address, or a paycheck stub from a Milford employer.
To apply for a library card online: Select "Sign In," then select "Register for a new library card."
With self-registration, you will be able to use the library's online resources for 30 days until you are able to come into the library in person to show ID and other necessary information (see above). Online resources include the ability to place holds, access to databases, and downloading 3M ebooks.
